We are seeking a full-time Service Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the automotive industry and be able to build relationships with customers, dealers, and other employees.
Job Description:
Oversee all service operations including scheduling, appointments, and customer service.
Manage and grow dealership's service department by training, coaching, and mentoring employees.
Assist in the development of dealership's technical manuals and dealership's service policies.
Work with dealership management to develop and implement procedures for vehicle maintenance services.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to communicate effectively with customers, dealers, and other employees.
Strong verbal communication skills; ability to write clear reports and correspondence.
Strong computer skills; ability to use various software programs as well as follow technical manuals.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work overtime as needed; must be willing to work Saturdays if necessary.
Requirements of the Service Manager are at least two years of retail experience at a supervisory level.
They also must maintain a valid driver's license, be ASE certified in at least brakes and suspension and have a current safety inspection license.
Responsibilities:
? To oversee all shop operations including the tire floor ? To provide daily employee schedule for shop personnel ? Schedule all service work ? Maintain a clean, organized and safe shop ? Ensure that all equipment is kept in proper safe working condition ? Order all parts ensuring that the company is getting the best price ? Write up all estimates ? Ensure that all paperwork is done on a timely basis ? Enforce all company policies ? Ensure all waste products are being handled and disposed of properly ? Ensure all work done on customers cars is completed properly and on a timely basis ? Ensure the satisfactory and equitable resolution of customer's complaints ? Ensure shop staff is trained in the area of responsibility ? Either open or close the store performing any needed accounting duties to do so ? Assist from time to time in mechanical work or tire work as needed ? Communicate with customers on their mechanical needs ? In charge of store operations in the absence of the Store Manager ? Assist on the sales floor and telephones Job Type:
